In today’s instantly downloadable and quickly consumed culture, bands like Anberlin are a dying breed… so it’s our pleasure to announce that Florida’s favourite sons will be heading to Australia for their biggest headline tour yet, with the highly touted The Academy Is coming along for the ride!

Having sold in excess of 400,000 records through indie powerhouse Tooth & Nail, Anberlin made the move to Universal Republic in 2007, the end result being the critically acclaimed and widely adored New Surrender, an album that spawned the hit single “Feel Good Drag” as well as successfully capturing the passion and intensity that Anberlin’s storming live show has long been renowned for.

Led by charismatic vocalist Stephen Christian, Anberlin were widely regarded as one of the highlights of Australia’s 2009 Soundwave Festival, a notable achievement when you consider the wealth of talent that the mammoth tour had on offer.

After the breakthrough success of their sophomore record Santi turned them into a household name, The Academy Is followed up in 2008 with the stunning Fast Times At Barrington High, a record which Fall Out Boy mouthpiece Pete Wentz described as “Mind blowing”.

Destroy All Lines is pleased to announce that Brisbane’s Wherewolves have been added as the national support to the upcoming Anberlin and The Academy Is… tour.

After self-releasing their debut EP “Targets” in 2007, Wherewolves (formerly A Year To Remember) were snapped up by Boomtown Records (home to The Getaway Plan and The Amity Affliction) for the EP’s re-release in 2008. Since then, the band has landed support slots with All Time Low (USA) and Set Your Goals (USA), as well as touring nationally with Ivory Line (USA), MC Lars (USA) and The Getaway Plan.

Wherewolves first release under their new moniker is “The Night Before | The Morning After”, a collection of songs that showcases the band’s constantly evolving take on indie, pop and rock.

The venue will accept a recent photo and copy of birth certificate or a passport along with a "Statutory Declaration", witnessed by a police officer. The "Statutory Declaration" should confirm that the document is copy of an original birth certificate or passport and declare that the person in the recent photo is under 18.
